Mini Lockdown

Tea Cup
Well Dear Reader,
Still surviving this draconian lockdown in Spain and sincerely hope you are all well and staying sane wherever you are..
Thank heavens for painting, or at the very least arranging and re-arranging my studio.
I have taken to painting in oil on very small formats, the various china cups that clutter my dresser.
The first teacup was a huge success and I framed it in a very bright 22karat gold leaf frame---an old one I re-leafed, and it looked splendid.
I painted another one slightly larger, a commission --and that is now with the framer in Glasgow.
My latest 'Demi Tasse' will have a companion by tomorrow I imagine.
This whole pandemic has brought about huge nostalgia so apart from dusting my 'clutter' I have been reflecting on times gone by and praying most fervently that we shall all be able to see our families soon.
So, expect to see a variety of memorabilia appear on these pages as I slowly dust my way around my memories and record some in oil and who knows watercolour too.
Hasta pronto
Dorothy
